All single rooms will be levied a 25% single supplement from date of arrival.

Group single supplement policy – Single supplement will be waived for the first two rooms of a group.

Any room thereafter will be levied a 50% single supplement from date of arrival.

Children staying at Kruger Shalati Train on the Bridge:
Children below the age of 12 will regrettably not be allowed to stay in the Train on the Bridge.

Single Supplement
Guests occupying rooms on their own will be levied a supplement of an additional 25% of the rate from date of arrival

Private Vehicles
There are a limited number of private safari vehicles that can be booked by guests in advance at an additional cost subject to availability. Private vehicles must be booked for a guests’ entire stay.

For all private guides wishing to accompany their guests on safari activities a private safari vehicle must be pre-booked (subject to availability) and will be charged for at the applicable daily rate.

Reservations Terms and Conditions

Deposit
We require a 20% refundable deposit within 10 working days of a reservation confirmation. Kruger Shalati reserves the right to cancel the reservation should we not receive the deposit within 10 days. The balance of payment is required 60 days prior to arrival. Short lead time reservations must be paid in full immediately.

Cancellation
Cancellation or part cancellation of a confirmed reservation, including changing the dates of travel, could result in the loss of the 20% deposit. For cancellations received 90+ days prior to arrival, deposit will be 100% refunded, 90 to 60 days prior to arrival will result in a 50% deposit loss. Should a cancellation be received between 59-0 days prior to due arrival date, 100% cancellation penalty would be charged. Kruger Shalati reserves the right to cancel reservations should full payment not be received within 60 days prior to arrival.

Payment
Our rates are quoted and payable in ZAR (South African Rands. Payments below R50 000 can be processed with Visa and Master Card. Direct transfers can be made into our bank account for all payments above R50 000. All payments should be made in full and free of any bank charges.

Travel Information

Kruger Park Entrance
A once-off fee is payable upon entering the Kruger National Park. Please ensure you have your accommodation confirmation documentation at hand to ensure entry at the correct price.

KNP Gate Times – self drive
All self-drive and road transfers are subject to Kruger National Park gate times.
The Kruger National park prohibits the use of roads within the park once the gates are closed so guests need to be at their destination and transfer companies must be outside the park by the time the gates close.
Kruger Shalati is approximately 25 min from Paul Kruger Gate.
Kruger National Park will not allow for alternative arrangements to be made.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is recommended, covering for personal effects, personal accident, medical and emergency travel expenses, as well as cancellation and curtailment – as the reservation will be subject to cancellation penalties as detailed above

Health Precautions
Guests are to be advised that Kruger Shalati is situated in a malaria area; therefor, all guests must consult their medical practitioner regarding anti-malaria requirements prior to travel.

Visas and Passports
Visa Requirements are to be checked before departure. All visitors to South Africa are required by law to have a minimum of two blank pages in their passport to enable the entry visa to be issued. If there is insufficient space in the passport, entry will be denied.

Airline tickets
In order to comply with international insurance requirements, all airline tickets must clearly show the passengers title, name and surname (as indicated in their passport). This applies to scheduled and charter flights. We would be grateful if you could provide us with the correct information at the time of making your reservation. Kruger Shalati cannot be held responsible should airlines discontinue flights or change a scheduled timetable resulting in missed connection.
